Why do people say sorry all the time? They say it even if they're not even wrong.
Why should I apologize? I'm not right, but I did nothing wrong.
They are so immature.

Ridiculous.
Isn't it annoying when you can't find anything to wear? Especially when the top you were going to wear is MISSING. I ponder who took it.
I'm laying in bed trying to come up with an outfit. I plan outfits according to how important the day is. Ask Caroline. She knows. I've had this planned out for days, laying on my bed. Yes, I know some of you just pick out stuff according to your mood, or whatever, but it's just not how I do things. Unbelievable, really. She better have a good reason for taking it... (No. Probably not.)
This was a really stupid idea.

Romance Languages.
As of now, I'm the biggest retard ever. I was having this conversation with a friend of mine, and supposedly Italian is not only a nationality, but a language?

shanshann72 (9:11:36 PM): haha. are you going to live in italy?
********* (9:11:44 PM): lol

Behind Your Eyes.
I've traveled the world twice over,
Met the famous; saints and sinners,
Poets and artists, kings and queens,
Old stars and hopeful beginners,
I've been where no-one's been before,
Learned secrets from writers and cooks
All with one library ticket
To the wonderful world of books.
-Anon
I love books. I love how they take me from this world, to a completely different one. I love how I can read for hours till no end, fall asleep, then wake up only to read again. I love how I get so connected with the characters, I feel the emotions they feel. I don't, and I doubt I will ever, understand why people don't like reading. They would rather see the movie. I have hardly ever heard anyone say that the movie was better than the book. You imagine for yourself what the characters look like, what they sound like. Imagining their world behind your eyes.
I'm kind of a bookworm. I read whenever and I read whatever I can get my hands on. It comes from my mom, she reads probably more than me. Since I read a lot, I've come up with the "short and to the point" version of some books that have stood out to me. A few of them are typical for a teenage girl... While some maybe not so much.
- Harry Potter - I started reading this series in like, 3rd grade. I went to the library in my elementary school, and for whatever reason, I picked up Harry Potter. Not the first one, the third one. The Prisoner of Azkaban. I was hooked, even though I was out of order. I went back and read up to the fourth one. I patiently waited years for the fifth, the sixth, and finally the seventh to come out last year. I can thank J.K. Rowling, because it was this series that got me wanting to read.
- To Kill a Mockingbird - I know, some of you are like, "What is that girl on?" But if you actually took the time to read it and do the review sheets for English, not copy the answers from a friend or online, you would see it how I see it. Quite possibly my favorite part of the book was the last few chapters. I almost cried. =P
- The Chronicles of Narnia - I love the adventures. It's amazing how C.S. Lewis imagined and breathed life into these stories. I've read all of the books, but my favorite of these are tied between the Magicians Nephew, the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and the Last Battle. I can't pick just one. The world between worlds concept is pretty interesting to think about, if you take the time. Then the adventures in the Dawn Treader are pretty awesome.. I haven't read any of his other books, but I want to.
- The Twilight Series - Yeah, some people think it's racy. The back of one of the books do seem to imply that it is... But it really isn't. (Most of the time...=p It's a Young Adult book, what can I say?) It's completely out of context with the entirety of the plot. It's much better than I ever thought it was going to be. I've read, reread, and re reread those books so many times. The final book, Breaking Dawn, is coming out on August 2nd. (Two days before my birthday!!!!!) The Twilight movie is coming out in December. Caroline, Alicia and I are seeing it together. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

TV Shows.
Has anyone seen or heard anything about House or American Idol lately, or am I the only one? These just happen to be my two favorite shows right now, and they just happen to be on 3 of the 5 days a week that I actually watch TV! (Except for the news... Shut up, I do watch news.) This next week is both of their season finales, and I'm pumped!
Yes, I still am in love with David Archuleta. Yes, I still think he's adorable. No, I don't think he's too young. I like both of them, but David A. had me the first time I heard him. =] By the way, has anyone seen him standing next to David Cook? He's so tiny compared to him! Either David C. is humongous, or David A. just hasn't hit his growth spurt. Who do you want to win?
House... is just crazy. The past episode was the best one I've ever seen. Seriously, did anyone see it? What did you think of it? I have high expectations for the finale! I hope she doesn't die, it would kill Wilson... Yeah, I get into it. =]

Cracked.
I somehow have a crack on the left corner of my iPod screen. From the top, right through my Safari icon. Not a tiny, cute little scratch, mind you. Now, the first thing anyone says when they use my iPod is, "Holy crap, what happened to your screen!?"
You can't help but notice it. Like a single huge red zit on the very tip on anyones nose. Or like a big mole on somebodies face. It's tough to explain how it happened, because I don't even know. It's not that I don't take care of it, because I do. It has become essential, as weird as that sounds. I protect it with my life. (Okay, maybe not... But you get my point.) I got it for a christmas present, so you can't even imagine what my parents said...
I believe it happened somewhere in my bag, but I wouldn't be able to tell you beyond that. Everything still works fine though. Do you have any idea how much it costs to have the screen replaced? $150 and above. I don't have that kind of money--or any, for that matter--to spend. It's seriously bugging me. I miss my sleek screen.

Oh, By The Way, You're Under Arrest.
The past few days have not been too terribly eventful... The most interesting thing is that I video directed in Malta this evening, which I haven't done in a year. It was intimidating at first, but it all came back pretty quickly. =]
Earlier I found this though. I thought it was pretty entertaining.
Tomorrow I'm going to see Prom Night. I'm the biggest pansy when it comes to scary movies. I bet I'll have nightmares for the next week... But for now, I'm going to snuggle in my blankets, get some ice cream, and watch Cops with the fam.

I Wish I Was Going To Disney...
I just noticed... My last post was my 100th post! Pretty cool, right? It's pretty simple math if you look over at my archives and add the numbers up, if you don't believe me.
But anyways... My PowerPoint went pretty good. I'm usually more nervous about presentations than I normally should be. Tomorrow I have a Unit Test in Global. Half hour of questions, then the rest is a gigantic thematic essay. After that I'm going on a field trip to a Planetarium for science.
A bunch of my friends are going to Florida with our school over the next several days. They are in chorus or they play an instrument. I'm kind of jealous.
I have the worst headache. I'll blog tomorrow...

No Ordinary High
Sometime early last year I took a self assessment to try and figure out what my Spiritual Gifts were. This morning I re-took it out of curiosity to see if anything has changed.
This is my top 5:
- Service
- Exhortation
- Faith
- Administration/Mercy
- Pastoring (Shepherding)
Unfortunately, I can't find where I put last years, so I kind of have to go by my memory.
I know that Faith, Mercy, Pastoring weren't there. They replaced Evangelism and Leadership. But I also know that Exhortation, Service and Administration have stayed, but Service wasn't up so high, and Exhortation has stayed the same.
I'll put up last years if I ever find it...

My Everything.
At Lift Camp over the summer last year, actors preformed a skit very much like this. It was great! It made me cry. This video reminds me of it, so much... Also, I really like the song they picked for it.

Daughters by John Mayer
I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls all continually change
And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me
Fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
Oh, you see that skin?
It's the same she's been standing in
Since the day she saw him walking away
Now she's left
Cleaning up the mess he made
So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
Boys, you can break
You'll find out how much they can take
Boys will be strong
And boys soldier on
But boys would be gone without the warmth from
A womans good, good heart
On behalf of every man
Looking out for every girl
You are the god and the weight of her world
So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too

My Favorite.

My old Rugby coach is one of the funniest guys I know. He has a whole bunch of quotes similar to this plastered all around his room. (See above the door, and also through the window, upper right.) This one is my favorite.

Tales That Must Be Retold.
It's been a crazy few days, that's for sure. They just had a baby girl! I got a text from Jon at 4 a.m. saying how it's for real this time, so of course I couldn't go back to sleep. I was practically bouncing off the walls for the entire morning until finally he said the baby was born and in healthy condition. When I got to school I decided to see if there were any new events happening... That's when I first got it. The pop-up saying how the iPod couldn't connect to the server. I figured the server must be down, so I didn't think too much of it until about 2 hours from then in Global. My Global teacher is a computer geek, and sometimes uses the Internet to teach our class, so I figured I'd ask him about what was going on with the server. He said that they were blocking the wireless connection, to stop teenagers like me from looking up porn on Youtube or something. I, of course, made a sarcastic remark of my own, that will not be repeated. =]
Some other stuff going on that I was going to write about... But I'm thinking it's just not worth my time, nor my emotional capacity to blog about right now. So I'll write about my upcoming weekend:
- Tomorrow is an important day for track... So I can't skip this practice... Dang. =]
- Friday is a half day, so I *might* be going to the Wises to see Abi in the afternoon, and going with them to Paul's birthday party. Then sleeping over and spending Saturday with Caroline.
- Sunday is church, then Vertical/Nine12 is starting up! Should be interesting...

The Unknown Continues Biding Time.
Choices? Opinions? Yea, I can't seem to make any lately. Ask me about what I think about the politians, and I'll tell you. Ask why, and you won't get too much from me. Ask me what I want to do when I graduate from high school, and the automatic answer is college. What for? I've been turning over some ideas in my head, but I haven't taken any of it as what I actually want to do. It's really starting to bug me. A lot!
Here's some I've been thinking about:
Photography- Of course, right? I love taking pictures and trying to get a good angle and all that other fun stuff. But the thing is, I know people my age that like photography that are so good. Plus, I really kind of need a better camera. & A newer version of photoshop wouldn't hurt either...
Weather- Have you ever watched storm chasers on the weather channel or have seen the movie, The Day After Tomorrow? It absolutely fascinates me! It's just like, wow. Of course, I'm not really a big fan of science, but I think I would enjoy it... Maybe. Plus it ties into the photography too.
Missions work- Yes, I know its expensive but it seems incredibly worth it. I know people that are in (or going to go to) places around the world, and I wish I was with one of them now, or when they go...
Criminology- It's one of my newer idea's. I came up with this from watching CSI. I watch all the CSI's, and I've already figured out that it's much different in real life than on a set... But it still seems pretty cool.
Meh, just some idea's I guess. I'm not sure at all about any of these. Ugh, I wish I could just know. I'm jealous of those that knew early what they wanted to do.
